Dip pen and India Ink

I took the picture of this with my iPhone and edited it to be more black and white with Camera+. The original looks better but I’m having issues with my scanner too. I drew this a while ago when I was in South Africa and only now have gotten to ink it. I’m running out of black ink so I may switch to a different color shortly.

This was inspired by the fact that my friends, the Andres, moved into a tiny little house and it reminded me of American Gothic by Grant Wood. I took a lot of liberties with it and made it my own. It’s on an 18×24 inch piece of paper so I had to take a photo of it on my iPhone. Obviously, it looks better in person and justice can’t be done by just looking at this. Oh well!
